The object of the thesis is the process of effective management of freight rolling stock in terms of reforming the railways. The aim of the thesis is the scientific study of organizational and economic foundations and development of practical recommendations for effective management of freight rolling stock in terms of reforming the railways. The research methods: dialectic, analysis and synthesis of the results of abstraction, problem-chronological, comparative economic, statistical and systemic-functional analysis, a method of peer review and economic and statistical data processing, etc. Scientific novelty of the results is to justify the theoretical, methodological and practical of the approaches to improve organizational and economic foundations of fleet management freight cars in terms of reforming the railways.
