Essay

Analysis of car fixing technologies on deck of railway-ferry vessels is carried-out. The analyses the efforts effecting strength characteristics of bearing elements of open-top car bodies and the stability factor for the ferry-boat deck. The great affection is paid to the allocation of cars along the boat deck, to increase the stability and maintain the freight and passenger cars fleet in international rail-and-water transportation. Heavily deformed car bodies condition while their interaction with fastenings concerning ferry's deck at the conditions of rough waves was studied. Ways for car structures adaptation for operation in international railway-ferry communication were developed. It provides the safety of car-fleet while operating in rail-and-water transportation.
