Okhrimenko G. Union of Breast and Its Discussion in Works by Professors and Students of Kyiv Theological Academy

The dissertation presents a comprehensive historical analysis of professors' and students' opinion at Kyiv Theological Academy of late 19th - early 20th century as regards the signing of the Union of Breast and the related arguments. The researcher maps out major stages of formation of Kyiv Theological Academy, as well as discusses scientific work by its students and professors in the field of history of religion. Upon the comprehensive review of archives and other relevant literature, the researcher examines the cause-and-effects methods used by representatives of Kyiv Theological Academy in determining the impact of the Union of Brest on the development of the Orthodox Church in late 16th - early 17th century.
