The object of research is the process of formation the competitive potential of forestry and management. The aim of the dissertation research is the development of theoretical principles concerning the economic categories of competition and improvement methodological approaches and their practical use in managing the formation of competitive forestry potential. The research was conducted using the following general and specific methods, such as: Economics and Statistics, monographic, settlement and constructive, Economics and Mathematics, abstract logic, graphics and other techniques. Scientific novelty is to develop of conceptual approaches to the selection of strategies achieve the competitive potential of forestry companies, which are based on the actualization of strategic approaches to the management of the competition through the use of the classical theories of competition in view of the functioning of forestry and forest products market specifics of the industry. The main provisions brought to the level of specific teaching materials and practical advice on managing the formation of competitive potential of forestry.
