Essay

Object - Propagation processes of electromagnetic waves in the metamaterials based on magnetics and semiconductors in the external magnetic field.. Aim - study of magnetic field influence on spectral properties one-dimension and two-dimension metamaterials based on magnetics and semiconductors in millimeter wave band. Methods - method of measurement S-parameters quadripole using vector analyzerin millimeter wave band; method of electron spin resonance; transformation matrix method; finite difference in the time domain method. Results - a new experimental technique for the study of magnetic field dependent spectral properties of one-dimensional and two-dimensional periodic structures based on magnetics and semiconductors in the millimeter waveband and wide temperature range has been developed; surface electromagnetic states in magnetophotonic crystals ferrite/dielectric bounded to the semiconductor layer was experimentally detected; the possibility of separate registration of a left-handed transmittance peak and the Wolf-Bragg resonance peak, during the experimental study of spectral properties of fine-layered left-handed structure ferrite-semiconductor is shown; the transmission peak of volume electromagnetic waves and negative refraction of electromagnetic waves at boundary left-handed structure-vacuum is observed during experimental study of the spectral properties of two-dimensional left-handed structure consisting of ferrite and semiconductor elements arranged in a chess order
