Processes and the phenomena which make direct impact on change of mechanical losses in an autotractor diesel engine with gas-turbine pressurisation. Working out of a method of an estimation of influence on mechanical losses regime and design data, a justification and realisation of the decisions directed on lowering of mechanical losses in autotractor diesel engines with gas-turbine pressurisation. All theoretical positions of dissertational operation are founded on the fundamental theory of thermal drives, the theory of mechanisms and cars, gases dynamics, hydraulics. The method of the analysis of indexes of explosion engines is used for an estimation of level of mechanical losses of diesel engines with gas-turbine pressurisation. At settlement researches of mechanical losses the method of mathematical simulation of indexes and diesel engine performances, methods of research of the is intense-deformed condition of pair "a cylinder barrel - the piston" was used. The expediency of introducing in a relative aspect of analytical dependences of mechanical losses from influencing parametres in a range of operating duties of an autotractor diesel engine with gas-turbine pressurisation is justified. For the first time the estimation of influence on friction losses, pump losses and total mechanical losses of a complex regime and design data for diesel engines with gas-turbine pressurisation is given. The settlement method of definition of friction losses in steam the piston-sleeve of cylinders taking into account modification of a surface of the piston is improved. For autotractor diesel engines with gas-turbine pressurisation data about level of indexes are obtained, the structure and methods of definition of mechanical losses is systematised. For an estimation of mechanical losses at change of constructive and regime influencing parametres the method of "nodes" is offered. As a result of the spent researches on the one-cylinder and teared diesel engines dependences which allow to state an estimation to mechanical losses at change of constructive and regime parametres are received. Efficiency of modification of the piston for deriving of a porous surface which allows to reduce friction losses in a bet the piston - a barrel of cylinders is confirmed. Influence of heightening of pressure of injection of fuel is established at a process intensification топливоподачи on mechanical losses in a diesel engine. Results of researches are introduced and used in KP "KhКBD" (Kharkov), is scientific - research laboratory of chair DVS NTU "KhPI", and also in educational process by preparation of students in a direction 6.050503 - "Machine industry" and specialities 7.05050304, 8.05050304 - "Explosion engines".
