Soltys R. Lviv bowed string instruments performance and pedagogy as a multicultural phenomenon.

The work deals with the conceptual understanding of Lviv bowed string music tradition in the context of contemporary cultural situation in the world. The author analyzed the character of European integrational and multinational processes in bowed string performance and Lviv concert-performing practice. There are thoroughly examined and researched the traditions of Lviv violin making that currently demonstrate the synthesis of the best world practices in this sphere. The nature of contemporary international art relation in instrument making field and relations between masters of bowed string instruments are also characterized in the research. The author generalized the most significant achievements of the representatives of Lviv bowed string instruments school and their contribution to the world music performance.
