Essay

The present thesis examines the role of the first holistic Old Testament heritage in the Christian culture formation, of identifies the key elements of the Hebrew theology rite as significant for the formation of Christian theology and theological literature. This work outlines symbolic lexemes of Hebrew culture that emerged in medieval art, especially music. Carried out a comprehensive analysis of the level of presence of the ancient religious traditions of Jews singing liturgical practice in the early Christian church. It was also collected, systematized and identified termbase of ancient sacral tools, and worked out the relevant material of Ukrainian sacral monody, including detailed study of selected songs and their place in the drama of the daily cycle of worship.
