The paper deals with the guidelines and practical recommendations to improve the mechanisms of the state youth policy in Ukraine on the experience of the Russian Federation. The status of theoretical and methodological studies of native and Russian scientists on the youth policies development is cleared up. The similarities and differences between the processes of the state youth policy in the Russian Federation and Ukraine are discovered and the elements of appropriate Russian policy, which can be used in Ukraine, are defined. The ways of improvement of the main directions vector of the state youth policy in Ukraine and mechanisms for their implementation are offered.
