Essay

Complex clinical and epidemiological features of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) caused by Dоbrоvа, Puumala and no differential serological groups hantaviruses which are endemic for west Ukraine was evaluated. Clinical and laboratory investigation of fever state patients with unknown etiology infectious diseases which weren't exception of HFRS were conducted. The 180 cases of HFRS by serology test (ELISA) were confirmed. Social and demographic features of HFRS patients were studied. Main group of sick persons belong to adult ((64.4±3.6) %), men ((66.7±3.5) %), rural area population and social and occupational structure were adequate to common population structure. During 1-3 days after symptoms appear ((38.9±3.6) %) patient were called to healthcare establishments and children calling was at 1.4 time higher that adult. Spectrum of primary diagnosis were large and shown of respiratory tract, kidney, digestive tract defeats, and less level were present hemorrhagic symptoms as well as mono- and combine infection. Patients general state were detected as moderate ((87.2±2.5) %) and severe ((10.0±2.2) %). Detected symptoms and ones combinations during diseases were background for creation of HFRS case definition which switches main features of endemic hantaviruses for Ukraine.
