Stadnichenko S. Halocatagenesis of the Lower Permian Formations of the Dnipro-Donets Depression Central and South-Eastern Parts

The thesis is dedicated to lithogenesis features research of sedimentary system, containing evaporites. It has been shown that the presence of evaporites in the sedimentary system section significantly affects the progress and lithogenetic rocks transformations. It has been established that the characteristic lithogenesis feature of the Lower Permian formations are halocatagenesis occurrence, the indicators of which are mineral neoformations in terrigenous rocks. For the first time pore fluids from lowpermeable rocks of deep horizons of the Lower Permian formations at a depth more than 1500 m within the Dnipro-Donets depression have been received and investigated. The regularities of the halocatagenesis occurrence in the section and in the area of the sedimentary basin were established and lithogenesis model for the sedimentary complex that contains evaporates have been proved. Halocatagenesis processes are evident in the entire interval of the formations spread and have structurally dependent distribution character which is connected with the local sites of brines penetration (microcracks zones in lowpermeability layers, cracks, fractures, contact zones of salt dome structures).
