Essay

In the thesis the theoretical justification actual problem radiobiology to determine the biological effects of low doses of ionizing radiation. The features of changes in lipid-lipoprotein metabolism in the liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986 with realized in the remote period after irradiation cerebrovascular and cardiovascular disorders who were exposed to ionizing radiation at doses 3.0-25.0 sGy. In the long period of observation during 1996-2007 where identified differences in terms of content total cholesterol, triacylglycerides and total VLDL and LDL fractions in the serum of irradiated and non-irradiated persons and established significant differences in dynamic content changes of lipids and lipoproteins in patients with normal weight and obesity. Experimentally determinated confirmed greater biological effectiveness of prolonged way gama-irradiation compared to single action at equally low doses of low intensity (0.5 and 1.0 Gy) in terms of content of lipids and lipoprotein fractions, lipid peroxide oxidation of blood plasma and liver of rats.
