Gusev J. Development of small business in the region by means of franchising

The object of research is process of small business development as a component of the regional economy. The purpose of research is improving the theoretical and methodical support for small businesses development in the regions of Ukraine on the basis of franchising. The methods of research are systems fnalysis and synthesis, morphological analysis, induction and deduction, system structural analysis, economic and statistic analysis, comparative analysis, analysis of hierarchies, multiple regression, graphical method. Methodical pproach to small businesses development in the region which is based on franchise networks models construction and allows to choose of franchisor and franchisee based on the specifics of the regional economic system; theoretical and methodological approach to the selection of the small businesses development strategy in the region which is based on a matrix of strategies for the development of entrepreneurship through franchising which allows to evaluate the feasibility of franchising networks in the region; methodological support diagnosis of the financial condition of the franchise network which is based both on the financial results of the primary participants and the integrated performance of the network and allows to change the composition of the involved entities small businesses based on the interests of the region economy are got further development. Definition of the essence of franchising which provides insight as the most effective tool for the small business development and entrepreneurship subjects can be integrated in the network; classification of franchising which includes the ability to create a sign of intelligence to assess the effectiveness of the small business development strategy in the region on the franchise basis are improved. Research results are used in the activities of the Association of Employers in Franchising (certificate № 605 from 21.05.2010) and the Kharkiv Regional Fund for Entrepreneurship Support ( certificate № 01-17/05 from 28.08.2012 ).
