Basay R. Legal Status of Technogeneous Polluted Areas

This thesis is dedicated to complex research of legal status of using and protecting technogeneous polluted territories in Ukraine. The paper defines the notion of "technogeneous polluted areas", describes its characteristic features and types. It also provides historical insight into legislation of the Ukrainian SSR and Ukraine, as concerns legal status of using and protecting technogeneous polluted territories, on basis of which the main historical stages of formation and development of technogeneous polluted areas regulation were determined. The thesis highlights all kinds of authorities, exercising governmental control in the sphere of using technogeneous polluted areas, and analyzes the fundamental control functions in this sphere of relations. It singles out peculiarities of using radiative and dangerous radioactive areas in Ukraine. The thesis grounds and works out proposals as for improving the current land laws of Ukraine on legal control over using and protecting technogeneous polluted areas.
