Essay

Object: U.S. information policy in the military campaign in Iraq (1991-2011) Objective: analysis of the system implementation of U.S. information policy in the government and military levels and detection mechanisms, patterns and trends that process during information provision all phases of the Iraq campaign. Methods: systematic, problem-chronological, comprehensive-analytical, comparative, generalization and synthesis. Results: obtained for the first time system realization of the state information policy in the long military campaign at all stages, which conducted in complex non-military and military agencies, revealed the positive and negative aspects of this process, the trends of further development on the basis of summarizing the experience of the theory and practice realization of U.S. GIP in armed and non-armed conflicts and during the campaign. Scope: for writing generalizing works and textbooks on history, informatics and special subjects relating to information policy and used in the course of training of historians, political scientists, specialists in international relations, senior military colleges in the course of training against the expansion of information, directly in educational work with the personnel of the Armed Forces, as well as to improve the approach to reforming the Armed Forces with the new political realities and demands of modern military thought in the field of armed and non-armed struggle.
