Had analized the condition of the coverage of historical and cultural monuments preservation in the contemporary historiography. The state coverage of major issues of normative-legal support for the protection of the cultural heritage. Had analyzed the condition of historiographical understanding of the role of research institutions and public organizations in the preservation of historical and cultural monuments in Ukraine. Had showed condition of coverege the regional specific of measures for the protection of historical and cultural heritage, the theoretical and practical aspects of security zoning, identifying historical areas populated cities. Had analyzed the views of scholars on the state of conservation and preservation of certain groups of monuments.
