Essay

Research object: processes of obtaining easy to clean and self-cleaning glass coatings on low carbon steel. Research purpose: development of chemically and thermally resistant easy to clean and self-cleaning catalytic calcium borosilicate glass coatings for protection of steel components of domestic heating appliances. Research methods: X-ray diffraction analysis, gradient-thermal analysis and differential scanning calorimetry, establishment of selfcleaning by ISO 8291 standard. Theoretical and practical results: principles of obtaining of coating from double-frit compositions that have easy to clean and self cleaning properties depending on the firing temperature have been established. Formation mechanism of glass-composite easy to clean and self-cleaning coatings have been established. Catalytic component of glass coating has been developed, their optimal porosity has been established. Process scheme for obtaining of easy to clean and self-cleaning glass coatings on the components of domestic heating appliances has been developed. Novelty: the possibility of obtaining of easy to clean and self-cleaning chemically and thermally resistant glass coatings on the base of single composition containing two calcium borosilicat frits: glass matrix and filler frit has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally proved. Degree of implementation: PJSC "Nord", Donetsk, and PJSC "Greta", Druzhkovka, have issued recommendations concerning further implementation of the developed composition into production of steel components of domestic stoves. Sphere of use: chemical technology.
