Mazhbits V. Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Patients with Paranoid Schizophrenia in the Outpatient Setting

In this dissertation on the basis of clinical, psychopathological and psychodiagnostic study of 125 patients diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, continuous clinical course, remission "C" information about features of clinical dynamics and pathocharacterologic differences in patients who are in the outpatient treatment was received. The psychopathological features of patients with paranoid schizophrenia were studied; the leading psychopathological syndromes were discovered. The character of remission quality was defined. The variants of pathocharacterologic development in patients with paranoid schizophrenia in outpatient setting were defined, depending on gender, age and disease duration. The most pronounced positive symptomatology were in patients with hallucinatory syndrome, the most negative symptomatology were in patients with apatho-abulic syndrome, general psychopathological symptomatology were in patients with hallucinatory and apatho-abulic syndrome. On basis of the results of the conducted research a differentiated system of medical and psychological support of patients with paranoid schizophrenia in outpatient setting was developed. Approbation of the proposed rehabilitation system showed its high efficiency in 83,13 ± 4,11% of patients, besides the durable therapeutic effect remains during two years in 75,90 ± 4,69% of patients.
