Mormul, Т. Feasibility of the research and methodology for development of rational land saving technologies of horizontal deposits open-cast mining

The dissertation covers scientific feasibility of land saving reserves and method-ology of their use to develop rational technologies of horizontal deposits open-cast mining that will provide decrease in the natural areas which are allotted and increase in the recultivated land which are rehabilitated. It is the first time when dependences of the allotted lands and recultivated ones are grounded as well as dependences of outsite waste dumps of capital mining opening on the place and method of permanent trench and working trench locations, and on the direction of mining operations advance in the open-pit field. The dependences take into account the amount of opening operations for filling in residual workings when the open pit is extincted. The approach to the methodological background of the land saving technologies of horizontal deposits open-cast mining has been devel-oped based on these dependences. Such an approach allows to recultivate 40 ... 70% of the filled in worked-out space and to increase the recultivation area by 40 ha. The dis-closed technology of opening of contiguous site of Chkalovski open pit nr. 1 has pre-vented allotting the land for outsite waste dump within the area of 20.3 ha.
