Kostyrya O. Philosophical and Legal Aspects of F. V. Taranovskiy's Scientific Heritage

The philosophical and legal aspects of outstanding legal thinker of our country F. V. Taranovskiy (1875-1936) are disclosed. F. V. Taranovskiy's legal comprehension was holistic complex theory, that combined theoretical, historical, legal, and philosophical levels of understanding of legal reality. F. V. Taranovskiy presented ontological aspects of the doctrine of the law impliing questions of the concept of law, the structure of law, objective law and subjective right, forms of positive law, the implementation and application of law. F. V. Taranovskiy's search of epistemological tools mainly related to the history of law. Comparative Law, according to F. V. Taranovskiy, is the most important scientific legacy of the XIX century.
