Anufriieva K. Building-up and Regulating Borrowings of the Ukrainian Banks on External Financial Markets

Research object: external debt obligations of the Ukrainian banks. Research objective - substantiation of scientific and methodical clauses and practical recommendations regarding regulation of external debt obligations of the Ukrainian banks and accordingly elaborating suggestions with respect to bank external debt management on macro- and micro-level in order to generate positive economic effects and mitigate risks of external debt financing. Research methods: dialectical; factor analysis; summarizing and historical method; systemic approach; systemic analysis; comparative analysis; scientific abstraction; economic statistics; analogue and abstraction; grouping. Research results: elaboration of methodical approach to regulation of external borrowings of the Ukrainian banks; defining key features of external debt restructuring of the Ukrainian banks; practical approach to external borrowings' pricing for banks; suggestions as regards use of currency risk hedging instruments; methodical approach to estimation of the efficiency of bank external debt strategies; practical approach to the improvement of bank information disclosure. Implementation coverage: the results have been implemented in the National Bank of Ukraine, the Agency of the Parliament of Ukraine; commercial banks; scientific establishments.
