The investigation of general patterns of structural changes in 140 damaged rat sciatic nerve during it's restoration in conditions of acquired hypothyroidism and its pharmacological treatment by calcytonin and L-thyroxine by neurohistological, immunoferment's, electronnomicroscopic and morphometric methods was conducted. Pharmacological correction positively affects the myelination of nerve fibers and their energy supply and reduces the lag in the development of degeneration. Branch - medicine.
