Object of research - patients with resectable cancer of the distal rectum. A research objective: : to improve the treatment of patients with resectable cancer of the distal rectum by optimizing the scheme of preoperative chemoradiation therapy with preoperative irradiation against endolymphatic chemotherapy. Research methods - clinical, instrumental, laboratory, histological, statistical processing of results. Novelty: the first to demonstrate that the use of preoperative short course radiotherapy concominanted by endolymphatic chemotherapy resectable rectal cancer distal localizations improves long-term results of treatment of resectable rectal cancer. Results: compared with traditional methods of comprehensive treatment , this method improves the performance of 5- year survival rate to 73.5 % (p < 0.05). Postoperative complications were observed in 8 (12.5 % ) cases. The frequency of local recurrence was 6.25 % , and the rate of distant metastases - up to 15.62 %. Introduced in clinical practice communal health care setting "Donetsk Regional Antitumor Center"; urban inter-Oncology Center of Mariupol, KLPU "City Oncology Center Gorlovka."
