Subject of research - functioning processes of special-purpose telecommunication systems of the coal producer. Research objective - enhancing the positional accuracy of mobile objects in telecommunications networks in conditions of changing environment. Research methods: methods of radio signal propagation, probability theory and mathematical statistics methods, PC simulations methods. Scientific novelty: 1) for the first time, there was proposed a mathematical model for position measurement of mobile objects, which is distinguished by considering the object parameters with continuously changing environmental position of the mining face of the coal producer, and enabling to enhance the mobile object position measurement accuracy; 2) there has been improved the model of radio wave propagation in conditions of restricted space, which differs from the existing ones by considering the destabilizing factors of the mining face environment at the coal producer's. This model allows assessing the total attenuation and maximum distance between the transmitting and receiving devices; 3) for the first time, a method for mobile object position measurement was proposed, which is characterized by considering the design features of equipment at the mining face of the coal producer and is based upon generation of computational grids and position measurement models, which allows reducing the time of salvage and rescue operations. Practical results: - based upon the developed method for position measurement of mobile objects there was defined a structure of technical means for special-purpose telecommunication network in the underground part of the coal producer; there was developed a hardware and software complex of the maintenance center based upon the obtained theoretical and experimental investigations of mathematical model for position measurement of mobile objects in the special-purpose telecommunication system allowing optimization of mobile object search process in the underground part of the coal producer both in normal operating conditions, and in emergency situations. This complex differs from the earlier created ones by the more accurate mobile object position measurement (with the accuracy up to 0.6 m); the development results were introduced into the regulatory act on labour safety "Systems and means of complex automation and dispatching of mines. Structure and general requirements". Scope of application: telecommunication systems and networks.
