Essay

Dissertation is devoted to historiographical reconstruction images of M.Dragomanov created in Ukrainian historiography. Based on the analysis of the topic's historiography and wide range of sources it was identified the need for a comprehensive study of historian's images. It was determined factors that influenced and continue to influence the formation and operation of historiographical traditions and scientific study of life and socio-political activities of the scientist in Ukrainian historiography. Article deals with the characteristics and features of historiographical images of M.Dragomanov at different stages of studing Drahomanov. It were traced the evolution of the original images of scientist.
