Essay

An examination of 124 pregnant women with anemia and chronic pyelonephritis showed a significant increase of serum erythropoietin which correlated with severity of anemia. In 21.0 % of observed pregnant women with anemia we diagnosed the inadequate serum erythropoietin level associated with decrease of hematocrit level. We established a sufficient therapeutic effect of combined treatment of anemia of pregnant women with chronic pyelonephritis with inadequate levels of serum erythropoietin by using of recombinant erythropoietin and domestic iron preparations.
