Essay

The translational and rotational diffusion in colloidal systems under the influence of external fields are investigated. Diffusion motion features in such systems were determined using Rayleigh light scattering, and nuclear magnetic resonance. The behaviour of correlation functions of orientation Brownian motion of axisymmetric particles in a liquid with stationary Couette flow is investigated. Rayleigh light scattering spectra by a suspension of anisotropic ellipsoidal particles subjected to a Couette flow are built. Features of translational diffusion in colloidal biological systems are determined using diffusion magnetic resonance imaging.
