Essay

The dissertational research is devoted to solving the problem of cognitive activity formation in preschool children with visual impairments. The paper presents the main research approaches to the study of cognitive activity in preschoolers. The model of cognitive activity is being proposed. It was confirmed experimentally in the comprehensive diagnosis of cognitive activity in such a children and during psychological support in developing their cognitive activity. General and specific peculiarities of cognitive activity in visually impaired preschoolers were being revealed. It was verified that there were difficulties in the formation of cognitive activity in this category of children and their differentiation was being made. The author reveals the types of activities for psychologists in preschool institutions and specifies basic techniques and forms of their implementation to provide psychological support in developing cognitive activity in preschool children with visual impairments.
