Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of emotional and volitional self-regulation of adolescents with mental retardation. The author defined the state of a problem and approaches to its study. Theoretically grounded model of emotional-volitional self-regulation of adolescents with mental retardation and experimentally confirmed its effectiveness. Identified psychological factors and conditions of emotional-volitional self-regulation of adolescents, described the psychological characteristics and age-specific dynamics of its operation within adolescence. A psychological technology of development, prevention and overcoming impairments of emotional-volitional self-regulation of adolescents with mental retardation worked out. Established the need for a specially organized and timely psychological assistance to these adolescents.
