Lozhechkin V. European Integration of the Republic of Poland 1989-2004.

The author conducted a comprehensive study of the process of European integration of the Republic of Poland in the years 1989-2004. Historiography, source base and methodological foundations of studied problem were analysed. The factors that led Poland to the European Community were studied and generalized. Considered legal and institutional framework of European integration in Poland. Traced the historical path of the country to full membership in the European Union, and the author developed a model of periodization of the process. Studied the results of the eighth anniversary of staying Poland in the EU. It is shown the attitude of poles to the effects of membership in the European structures. Practical recommendations for Ukraine in the context of polish experience were formulated. On the basis of social quiz materials the public opinion of citizens of Ukraine on contemporary processes of European integration was characterized.
