Cheberiak P. Collection and Assessment of Evidence in Criminal Proceedings Investigating the Crimes in the Sphere of Economy.

The thesis represents theoretic provisions and practical recommendations with regard to collection and assessment of any evidence by an investigator, a prosecutor or a court during a pre-trial investigation and judicial examination of criminal proceedings investigating the crimes in the sphere of economy. Analysis of scientific and other sources helped to identify the level of knowledge on forensic and criminal-and-procedural problems of collection and assessment of evidence in any criminal proceedings investigating the economic crime, and the major directions of prospective scientific research. The meaning of such notions as "economic crimes", "detection of evidence", "collection of evidence", "check and assessment of evidence" was made more specific, and the essence of a notion of proving for investigation of economic crimes was unveiled, its peculiarities and specificity were established. The issue of tactical and forensic means was studied, and this study defined the main means that are applied for collection and assessment of evidence in any criminal proceedings investigating crimes in the sphere of economy and unveiled the role and importance of using the special knowledge.
