The Object of research is the process of risk management of the enterprises of retail trade. The aim of the dissertation is to substantiate the theoretical and methodical positions and developing practical tools business risk retailers. In the dissertation used such techniques as methods of logical approach, methods of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, economic-statistical, marketing research, expert assessment. Scientific novelty of the results of the research consists in development of theoretical and methodical positions and development of practical tools business risk retailers. In the process of research resulted in the following significant results: for the first time developed a system of key indicators of commercial risks of the enterprises of retail trade; improved: the conceptual framework, namely: to determine the content of risk as an object of management; formed definition of business risk, scientific and methodical approach to an estimation of influence of risk factors on the commercial activities of enterprises of retail trade; acquired a further development: a typology of commercial risks of the enterprises of retail trade, the conceptual provisions of the business risk of the enterprises of retail trade, matrix and integral model of a choice of methods of business risk. Practical importance, such development of the dissertation research: scientific and methodical approach to assessing the impact of sectoral factors of commercial risk in trade system of key indicators of commercial risks; methodical approach to an estimation of losses operating profit for the spheres of commercial activity; structural-logic model of process of acceptance of administrative decisions regarding the selection of the methods of business risk the enterprises of retail trade; recommendations for the certification of commercial risks of the enterprises of retail trade. Scientific results of the dissertation, and who have applied character, acquired practical realization of the financial and economic activity of the enterprises of retail trade, Kharkiv, namely: LLC "Delight", LLC "Кrian", and the Department of Economics and international relations of the Kharkiv regional state administration. The results of the research are introduced in educational process of the Department of Finance of the Kharkov state University of catering and trade, in particular, during the teaching of the disciplines "Finances of enterprises", "Financial sanitation and bankruptcy of enterprises", "Financial management" and the Department of economy of enterprises of food industry and trade, namely in the framework of discipline "Risk and insurance".
