Object - the formation of surface hardened steel blades of gas turbine engines; the goal - to increase endurance limit and corrosion resistance steel blade turbine engines Vacuum Thermal cyclic pulsed plasma nitriding in a glow discharge based elucidate the influence of structural and phase and chemical composition, stress state on the mechanical properties; methods - metallographic techniques, methods of X-ray analysis, scanning, electron microscopy, mechanical engi-neering, mathematical modeling and the method of multivariate experimental design and math-ematical processing of statistical data; practical results - increasing endurance limit by 15-20%, increase in average technical resource in 1.8, developed engineering method of predicting bearing capacity of reinforced steel blades; novelty - first established regularities of structural and phase and chemical composition, stress state and mechanical properties in corrosion resistance and endurance limit of the surface layers of steel blades of gas turbine engines, has been further development of multicriteria optimization process of forming hardened surface layers based on mechanical properties; industry - Aircraft Manufacturing.
