M'yalovska A. The content and form of cult in the Christian tradition (phenomenological analysis).

Dissertation presents the first phenomenological analysis of the content and forms of cult in the Christian tradition based on the approach of the famous Swiss religion scientist Geo Widengren. The thesis examines the main approaches to the study of religious cult and cult in the Christian tradition, investigates its contents and features of manifestation, detects its nonconfessional aspect. Dissertation investigates specifics of the implementation of Christian religious practices, in particular the content and structure of the main forms of the Christian cult. The work examines adaptation features of Christian cult in today's conditions and reveals the main trends that are associated with modification of cult in Christianity. The thesis analyzes common features in the shape, structure and meaning between Christian cult religious practices and practitioners of other religions. The study reveals the essence of the phenomenon of sacrifice as the central category of the cult in the Christian tradition. Basing on the analysis of the literature, in which the definitions of the cult, ritual and rite are researched, the author's own opinion is given and the understanding of these phenomena is deepened.
