The scientific studies prepared by professors of University of Kyiv from second half of the 1950s to mid-1980s devoted to the history of Ukraine are analyzed in the dissertation. The author researches concepts and methods of interpretation of the history of Ukraine used by university scientists and shows the most important themes and topics of scientific papers of that time. The influence of Marxist-Leninist methodology on the content of historical science of that time is studied in the dissertation. The contribution made by professors of University of Kyiv to the Soviet historiography of the history of Ukraine is studied.
