Essay

The thesis is devoted to developing models and methods for evaluating the characteristics of fractal structures of metallic materials, such as composite, crystalline and quasicrystalline materials, non-metallic inclusions. It is proved that by using the methods of the fractal theory can obtain quantitative characteristics of the structure and establish the dependence of the fractal dimension and fractal signatures cover with its physical and technological properties. Proposed a model evaluating the characteristics of fractal structures of metallic materials in the form of fractal signatures. Methods and computer programs to obtain an estimate of the fractal dimension of images of fractal structures and coatings, as well as fractal objects. The developed methods and computer programs have a wide range of use and can be applied to various objects, which are characterized by the fractal nature. Thus, created in the course of writing complex programs enables automated and real-time analysis of fractal characteristics of different test specimens, and therefore is quite unique.
