The thesis is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations and practical grounding of mechanisms, which enhance the strategic potential of the national economy. The modern concepts of potential are covered. It is proved to consider the nature and structure of strategic potential from the standpoint of species management and decision-making. The statistical analysis made it possible to define as positive trends in the national economy and negative trends that hinder the effective use of strategic potential. The thesis substantiates the use of modern market and administrative mechanisms to enhance the strategic potential.
