Essay

The dissertation is devoted to study the opportunities of objectification the evaluation of clinical peculiarities and improvement the diagnosis of community-acquired pneumonia severity in children of early age with the catamnesis prediction by examining indicators of apoptotic activity, oxidative stress and nitroxydergic system. The important diagnostic peculiarities of antenatal anamnesis, comorbidity and clinical course of community-acquired pneumonia in infants depending on the severity were established. The level of apoptosis and necrosis of neutrophils in the peripheral blood in infants with community-acquired pneumonia was research. It was proved that the severity of the disease correlates with the intensity of necrotic processes and slowing apoptotic activity. A systematic correlation analysis was carried and the relationships between indicators of oxygen-dependent metabolism, apoptosis and necrosis of neutrophils, nitroxydergic system were established. It was found that oxidative stress and enhanced nitric oxide metabolism are among the leading factors of intensification the destruction of polymorphonuclear neutrophils by necrosis with simultaneous inhibition of apoptotic activity in infants with community-acquired pneumonia. The diagnostic value of study apoptotic activity, oxidative stress and state of nitroxydergic system as criteria of severity of community-acquired pneumonia was proved and predictors of unfavorable catamnesis for infants were established.
