Object of study: first diagnosed lung tuberculosis; research methods: to increase efficiency of treatment of patients newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis on the basis of development and introduction of a complex of organizational measures on increasing motivation to treatment for these patients by providing social-psychological support; novelty: for the first time defined for patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis different categories of main medical and social causes and socio-demographic factors that affect the efficiency of treatment; substantiated and proved positive the impact of socio-psychological assistance to the effectiveness of treatment of patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis - increase of 24.2 %; proven economic effect of treatment of one patient with newly diagnosed lung tuberculosis using socio-psychological assistance is 2 times cheaper than one patient without the use of such assistance.
