Essay

The dissertation is devoted to rehabilitation of bronchial asthma (BA) patients with dyspepsia. The clinical course, oxidative homeostasis, quality of life and psychological tests in moderate asthma patients with coexistent dyspepsia and without it were investigated. We revealed higher frequency of BA exacerbations, hospitalizations, upper respiratory tract infections and level of personal anxiety in asthma patients with dyspepsia than without it. The quality of life level was decreased in both groups of asthma patients. In patients with asthma exacerbation we observed changes both in primary (fatty acids) and final links (diene conjugates, dienketons and malonic dialdehyde) of oxidative homeostasis, more severe in case of coexistent functional dyspepsia. We proposed the oxidative homeostasis correction methods ("Atma" or "Galium-Heel" medicines, saline aerosol therapy) additionally to the standard therapy, which helped to shorten terms of hospitalization and achieve significantly higher rates of asthma-account with better asthma control, normalization of FEV1, quality of life and oxidative homeostasis parameters. The long-term results 1 year after rehabilitation therapy showed lower frequency of asthma exacerbations, lower hospitalizations rate and longer remission compared to patients who received only controller medication. The results of the study were introduced into clinical practice and educational process. Industry - medicine.
