Essay

The results of this research are grounded on the clinical study of partially edentulous patients aged 35 - 75 who had defects in upper and lower dentition of I, II classes by Kennedy. The patients had no systemic conditions. Their dental defects were replaced by partial removable dentures (the only one denture for maxilla or mandible). Mathematical modeling was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness in the application of clasp dental prostheses with polyoximethylene and cobalt-chromic framework for replacing unilateral or bilateral defects of dentitions. Our experimental investigation allows us to conclude that polyoximethylene showed the best plastic properties in experiments and was observed to be the most reliable when placed in the mouth. The application of mathematical model designed has pointed out the clasp dental prostheses with polyoximethylene framework produce less values of equivalent tension in both hard tissues of abutment teeth and periodontal tissues. The clinical and laboratory studies have shown the better adaptation of tissues of dento-maxillary apparatus to dentures with polyoximethylene framework.
