Dissertation research is devoted to theoretical and experimental determination of the social and psychological characteristics of the project managers of social work. Expanded and depth theoretical knowledge of the structural components of the project activities; sound methodological basis of the research program of the project activity level of managers of social work and socio-psychological means to improve project managers of social work. The structural model of social and psychological characteristics of the project activities of managers of social work is justified. Demonstrated that the project activity supports the leading form of client groups in the social work community organizations. The lead management functions of social work in social design at the planning stage are identified. The effectiveness of the implementation of social projects depends on the degree of involvement of the target group are demonstrated.
