The object: works of the modern literature of Great Britain; The aim: integral systemaic research of artistic features of the modern British novel and determination of the specific of genre-making features in this genre, which in combination create a genre chart / model; The methods: integrally-systemic approach, hermeneutics interpretation, descriptive method, historical-functional, historical-typological; The novelty: the complex analysis of the most notable artistic works of British literature at the beginning of the ХХІ century is carried out; The results: the classification of novel varieties based on the principle of creation of character is improved; further development of study of artistic properties of detective novel and "woman" novel is purchased, the originality of structure of hero's personality in the detective and in the works of women-novelists is researched; The branch: Theory of literature.
