In the theses the historiographical process of development of productive forces of the Ukrainian village in the years of New Economic Policy is studied on the basis of identification and critical analysis of historiographical source base, achievements of historiography, and application of new conceptual-and-methodological approaches. This paper analyzes the historiographical process, ie the accumulation, classification, evolution and scientific level of historical knowledge for the development of the productive forces of the Ukrainian village in 1920. The author found changes in the historiographical tradition of agrarian studies during certain historiographical periods as well as specific features of highlighting of development of productive forces in the Ukrainian village in the years of New Economic Policy in the Soviet, modern domestic and foreign historiography.
