The concepts of resource potential, strategic management of resource potential have been specified; organization and economic mechanism of the strategic management at the engineering enterprise for the allocation of the resource potential evaluation has been upgraded; methodical approach to the assessment of the resource potential by an integrated index has been improved; approaches to engineering companies differentiation in the group with the sign "in terms of resource potential" have been enhanced; optimization models for selecting a market segment for engineering enterprises have been developed; scientific and theoretical approaches to the choice of a dual resource potential management strategy have been grounded.
