Object - the relationship between the content of mobile compounds of nutrient in the soil, fertilizer and productivity of chickpea plants. Purpose - to determine the effectiveness of fertilizers in growing chickpea in Southern Steppe of Ukraine. Methods - field, laboratory and field, analytical, computational and comparative, mathematical statistics. Theoretical results - theoretically summarized and proposed solutions to the problem of mineral nutrition of chickpeas on a dark brown soil of Southern Steppe of Ukraine, taking into account the nutrient regime of the soil and the level of planned productivity of seeds. Are established the regularities of the effect of fertilizers on the nutrient regime of the soil, plant growth and development of chickpea during the growing season, the formation of main indicators of quality seeds. Practical results - is to improve and the implementation in the production of some processing methods of chickpea cultivation without irrigation, in particular, the optimization of the nutrition of this culture through the use of mineral fertilizers. Was investigated nutrient regime of the soil, depending on the dose of fertilizer, that with a maximum return of their makes it possible to achieve a yield of chickpea seeds at 2.5 t / ha with high levels of quality and with a high return on units of fertilizer the yield increase. For the conditions of the southern region was refined expenditure of nutrition for the formation of unit of chickpea crop. Novelty - determined the optimal dose of fertilizer for growing chickpea seeds without irrigation on a dark chestnut medium loamy soil; defined correlation between the level of seed yield of chickpea and factors assumed by the study, in particular, to doses of fertilizers, weather conditions in the years of research, an area of sheet plant surfaces; was defined expenditure of nutrition for the formation of unit of the crop of this culture, that is necessary when using calculation method of establishing rates of mineral fertilizers for the obtain of planned the yield level. Degree of application - the main results of research have been implemented in 2008 on an area of 45 hectares in experimental farming "Askaniyskoye" in Kahovskiy district, Kherson region. Certain provisions of the thesis can be used in the teaching of agricultural chemistry at agrarian universities. The field is agriculture.
