Mironova Y. "Traumatic injuries of the elbow in children, according to a complex radiological examination"

The thesis is devoted to the actual topic to improve the efficiency of diagnostics of injuries of the elbow joint in children with complex radiological diagnostic methods by examining with X-ray, including microfocus digital radiography and ultrasoundmethod. 142 children with elbow injuries were examined, of which - 116 patients is the main group, 26 - comparison group. To assess the opportunities of digital microfocus radiography in elbow lesions, including physeal zones, an experiment was conducted, which resulted in a direct indication (enlightenment line) of damage of physeal zone, which allows to diagnose physeal injuries without dislocation of osseous center or when it is absent. On the obtained data possible methods of radiology were evaluated, practical recommendations of using of radiological methods, depending on the severity of the injury and the age of patients were created. With using digital X-ray microfocus X-ray it is possible to increase the sensitivity of the method as compared with digital radiography by 4,5%, specificity - 4,9% accuracy - by 5,4%, compared with conventional X-ray - 8,5%, 10,6%, 10,1% respectively.
