Lytvynets T. Modern domra performance: aspects of professional skills improvement.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of modern domra performance and disclosing of the ways of domra player's professional skills improvement. The work contains the analysis and systematic presentation of the scholarly sources on the problem in question, the description of the artistic achievements of modern Ukrainian domra players specialising in solo and ensemble as well as orchestra performances. The existing domra repertoire is ordered and systematically presented. The essence of the elements of domra player's professional skill is exposed and the conditions of its improvement are investigated with the educational methods of Donetsk performance school taken as an example. The stages of original domra repertoire evolution are studied in connection with the instrument becoming more academic. The paper presents the proof of domra genre diapason - from separate miniatures to sonatas, suites and concertos.
