Essay

Object of study is the development of composite polymer materials based on recycled materials with improved physical and mechanical properties. The aim of the work is the synthesis and study of the properties of the modified compatibilizers - copolymers of ethylene with vinyl acetate modified with reactive oligomers based on vegetable oils and low molecular weight synthetic rubber and use them to improve the properties of composite polymer materials based on recycled materials. Establishing a relationship between the chemical composition, structure and properties of the obtained modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and composites obtained using them. Main results were obtained using the following investigation methods: IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography, the physico-mechanical tests. Compatibilizers - ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers modified with isocyanate-reactive oligomers, based on linseed, soybean oils and low molecular weight synthetic rubber have been synthesized in the first time. It has been found that the introduction of flexible molecular fragments based on vegetable oils and rubber in the structure of the copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate affects the processes of structure formation and properties of the modified copolymers. Efficiency of use of the modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers as compatibilizers for polymer composite materials based on recycled materials and as a matrix for the creation of rubberplastics was shown. The optimal concentrations of modified copolymers as compatibilizers and the relationship between the concentration of the compatibilizer and physico-mechanical properties of the composition were determined.
