Object: the management of IP in the industry. Purpose: to develop theoretical and methodological positions and practical recommendations to improve the management of IP as an example machine-building enterprises of Zaporizhzhya region. Research Methods: of abstraction and generalization, of the method of time series analysis, statistical methods of data processing, clustering method, the method of system analysis and synthesis, the method of expert estimates, the method of economic-mathematical modeling, of induction, deduction, abstraction. It is offered: first: the methodical approach to determine the combined effect of the introduction of ITNs and criteria for quality and obsolescence; it is improved: methodical approach to harmonization of results and valuation of IPO; methodical approach to determine the efficiency of resource use on stages of development, deployment to production and sales of products manufactured by the technology IPO; algorithm for deciding on the choice of the method of calculating the value of IP; IP management mechanism; gathered subsequent development: determine the nature of intellectual property defining the essence of the process of managing IP.
